Waldo's Stuck in the Snow!

Well. Clearly, I severely underestimated the weather. And as our Magic Meat Truck has neither wings nor chains, we are alas confined to the limits of our farm for the time being. As I wrote yesterday's email, the light dusting of snow on the farm was quaint but not concerning. Awaking to deep snowy drifts and blizzardy gusts this morning, the paths I shoveled clear at 4am are again covered with a fresh heavy accumulation and the trend is looking to continue into the afternoon. A peek at the traffic cameras across the region are not showing much in the way of snow-plowing, so Rose and I will stay put in our cozy farmhouse, enjoying our steaming mugs of coffee as we stoke our cheery woodstove with crackling chunks of Madrona wood. If the conditions allow, we will do our best to be in Ballard tomorrow. Otherwise, in order to compensate for this unexpected event, we are drafting a plan to do a Monday or Tuesday pop-up meat market somewhere in the city.
