It continues to snow here at Neverstill.
We have received over 10 inches at the farm.  We have also been without power for most of the week.  Fortunately we have a good generator to run mission critical circuits (including phone and internet--Thank you Starlink!),  a woodstove for heat and a gas stove for cooking, so we are doing fine.  And of course, we are well stocked with food!  :-)  Being without power on a remote farm such as ours means also being without running water, as we depend on an electric pump which supplies water from the nearby creek.   Needless to say, it has been a challenge keeping all of the animals supplied with water, shelter and feed.  The good news is that we have been successful and they are all doing very well.

The bad news is that all of the passes in all directions from the farm are currently closed due to large quantities of downed trees.  The snow accumulation in the passes is about three feet.  Today has been warmer which has caused some melting which will be freezing into sheet ice as the temperatures drop into the mid twenties during the nights through Sunday.  It is not worth the risk to our Magic Meat truck to attempt to navigate these conditions.  Sadly, we will not be able to attend our Seattle popups this weekend.  Please accept our sincere apologies, and we look forward to seeing you all in the Magic Meat Truck next year.

Happy New Year!

We are currently reviewing our plans, locations and schedules for the New Year.  Stay tuned for potential changes and updates.
